The problem

A pharmaceutical distributor serving 300 pharmacies, with strict batch and expiry tracking and a rule that every pick is scanned twice.

The site wanted proof that Ridge could run on a local power and connectivity setup before committing.

Ran its first live shift 17 days after the units came off the lorry.

What Ridge does

Two Ridge units pick boxed medicines from the fast-moving racking into pharmacy totes, scanning batch and expiry on every pick.

The units run on the site’s Wi-Fi with the offline task cache covering short outages.

In their words

“We asked for two scans per pick. We got two scans and a log of every one of them.”
